Berger Institute 2011-2012 Fellow


Kelsey Gross is an Economics major at CMC in her third year. She is researching the effect of raising a special needs child on the labor market and health outcomes of women in professional careers. She is working under the guidance of Professor Kathleen Brown, the Faculty/Student Research Coordinator at the Berger Institute and Visiting Assistant Professor of Psychology at CMC. 2011-2012 Research Assistants


Ali Abramovitz is a senior at CMC and is completing an Economics-Accounting major with the Finance Sequence. She is working with Professor Heather Antecol on a study of the impact of women executives on firm performance.




Sesa Bakenra is a first-year student at CMC from Cleveland, Ohio. She is researching the lives of everyday people during the 17th century and prior in South Asia in order to assist Professor Nita Kumar in constructing children fiction stories based on these facts.



Amanda Banducci is entering her final year at CMC as a Psychology Economics major. She is working with Professor Brown on a study of the effect of flex time on women's health.




Jennifer Good is a Junior PPE major at CMC. She is working with Professor William Ascher developing a model explaining societal returns to Conditional Cash Transfer programs.



Meghan Heinke is in her final year as a Psychology major at CMC. She is working with Professor Kathleen Brown on researching and analyzing trends in the data from Working Mother’s annual reports of the 100 Best Companies for working mothers.



Franccesca Kazerooni is in her final year as a Psychology major at CMC. She is working with Professor Kathleen Brown on a research project investigating work-family stress associated with cyberbullying.




Jeremy B. Merrill is a senior Linguistics and Philosophy major at CMC from Durham, North Carolina. He is working with Professor Audrey Bilger on her book about lesbian marriage rights by assisting with research, tracking news, and updating the book’s website.




Wendalyn Tran is a sophomore Economics-Accounting major at CMC from Logan, Utah. She is working with Professor Antecol to examine how an individual’s socioeconomic background during their youth influences their future success and labor market opportunities.



Angie Tyler is a senior at CMC majoring in French and International Relations with a focus on Childhood Development in Developing Countries. She is working with Professor Kathleen Brown to develop a new research initiative on bullying in schools.
