Information Technology Advisory Board

With Great Sadness...

Barton Evans ’70 (1947 – 2014): Members of the Information Technology Advisory Board and staff mourn the loss of our founding board member, Bart Evans ’70, who lost his battle with pancreatic cancer on May 14, 2014. Bart’s legacy lives on in the more than 150 “alumni” who benefitted from the networking trip, and the 55 students who enrolled in the Silicon Valley Program. Weeks prior to his passing, the Board of Trustees of Claremont McKenna College voted to honor Bart by naming the program for him. It shall be known as the Evans ITAB Networking Trip.

A complete recognition of Bart’s accomplishments may be found here. Those so moved, may remember Bart with a gift to the Evans ITAB Networking Trip.

Welcome to the Information Technology Advisory Board (ITAB) web site. The ITAB is comprised of executives working in the technology field, who have a special interest in advancing the importance of technology at CMC. Part of the mission of the ITAB is to provide recommendations and leadership in programs for teaching, instructional, and communications technology. One of the ITAB’s exciting initiatives is sponsoring a trip to the Silicon Valley for select CMC students. The purpose of this trip is to provide CMC students with an opportunity to explore the diversity of career paths in the realm of technology, as well as for the College to begin establishing closer relationships with alumni and friends in the technology sector.
